This was my semester project for Coastal Marine Applications at San Francisco State University. Long term data was collected from NOAA's National Data Buoy Center and compiled to a database for analysis. These data were compared with potential vessel speeds of wind powered vessels to model the potential of wind as a replacement for the petroleum reliant cargo industry.
